Bus Turistic

Our first day in Spain we took the Bus Turisitc all over town and it was sensory overload. Driving by La Sagrada caused a double-decker busload to gasp in unison.

Statues and knockers

This is a Lichtenstein. I took a load of photos of statues and knockers it seems. Sometimes even statue's knockers. I wanted to start blogging at the beginning of the trip-- but had technical difficulties getting the images transferred last night. I bought a back up drive today so I have more room to play and organize all these!

Back on the ranch in the U.S. of A. Minus a suitcase. Glad to see my Elliott and eternally grateful to those that love him while I am gone.

Roaming the streets

street art... my feet are trashed but it was so worth it. My Keens need to be retread - I put 80,000 miles on them.

Technically challenged

and blog deprived. I took minimum 500 shots a day with my Lensbaby, Holga, LomoFishEye, my digi point and shoot and a ten year old Canon point and shoot with black and white film. I didn't take all five freakin' cameras everywhere but I always had my Lensbaby on me and actually used my straight lens once at La Sagrada Familia. Internet access was a pain in Spain and must be way worse in the Plain. On our last day Hans and I packed an walked down Las Ramblas once last time. We went up in the Columbus monument which was a bit scary. We had a lovely lunch on the waterfront then roamed back through our favorite streets and met up with our Barcelona friends for one last time. Hiked the 93 steps back down from the apartment and off we went.

Last day in Barcelona

My feet are blistered and swollen and every step was agonizing today- but I made it home. I have been up for 48 hours minus a few catnaps and I am glad to be home with sweet Elliott.
