Chivay

We were in the square in Chivay two days in a row... not much going on either day. There's always someone lurking somewhere to sell something to a tourist.

Maca

We stopped in Maca on our Colca Canyon tour... the church was the main attraction.

Colca Canyon, Peru

That's the Colca River at the bottom. Colca Canyon is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon at 13, 650- thought the walls are less vertical. As my cousin Andrew would say, " Colca Canyon is just a great big fnckin' 'ole!"

Colca Canyon

Back to my Peruvian adventure photos for a moment. This is Colca Canyon- where we went searching for condors.

Quito

I never ever ever crop my photos. I compose in camera and that's it. If I don't like the image then too bad. This one was easy. I cropped the wall out to the mirror frame.

Parting shot

In May I took a 3 weeks trip to Peru and Ecuador and the Galapagos and I still haven't finished going through all the photos. I shot 32 gigs- ish. Out of curiosity I just looked at the last shot. This was taken in Otovalo, Ecuador.

little more moment

These are from the day after I got back from South America. I was determined to climb to the top of Multnomah Falls since I had so much trouble with the altitide in Peru. I had no trouble climbing Multnomah Falls- other than trying to drag Ciyanna up there. She gave up on switchback 3 of 11 but I somehow coaxed her to the top.
