Lava Canyon adventure

Lava Canyon, today

My third time there this year.  Today was warmer and I saw more of the mountain but she was still wearing a hat.  I also saw a rainbow in the fall's spray for the first time.

Pioneer Cemetery

There are 300 people buried here from 1901- 1911 mostly victims of the "Tonopah Plague" and a mine fire.

Old Tonopah Cemetery

Pioneer Cemetery right next to the Clown Motel in Tonopah, Nevada.  It is everything you read about- and could be quite spooky for some.  I thought it was amazing and I can't wait to go back through that area again.

Art cars, Goldfield, NV.

Wildlife: Bighorn sheep

Popped on my Tamron lens when we came across 4 Bighorn sheep in the Valley of Fire.  My first creature feature other than birds and chipmunks.

Valley of Fire

I never tire of this place- it's like going to another planet.  It was great to take Tabitha there.  It was a cool adventure- despite the crippling heat.

Southern Oregon Coast

I visit the mid to north coast several times a year but I haven't been South of Florence in a few years.  It's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back.

Car Forest

Some Sweet 35 images of the International Car Forest of the Last Church outside Goldfield, NV.

International Car Forest of the Last Church

Just outside Goldfield, Nevada- a whacky plantation of up-ended cars in the desert.
