Sky high
I haven't taken my camera back and forth to work with me in a little while. It was in repair for one and the weather was shit for two. I took it today and was happy to grab the graffiti shot that I have walked by a hundred times. Then Craig ended up getting on the roof. So I went up there and took 202 photos. I am not shy with the shutter. The gargoyles are really cool. they just out of the building. I risked life and limb to photograph them! I love Portland more and more every day. I have officially disowned Miami since I heard that the City of Miami (i.e government entity) is planning a huge party to be held at the Orange Bowl the minute Castro drops dead. That is so wrong in so many ways.

Don't let reality ruin your day...
My new motto by the way. All day I pondered whether I could watch the State of the Onion address without spontaneously combusting... or in a mild case, an aneurism or two. Subconsciously I missed it. I wasn't thinking it would be on SO early.. haven't wanted to suffer through it since I moved to the Left coast. I guess I wouldn't have lived through it. Self-preservation at its best. My DRAFT JENNA BUSH sticker is going on the car tomorrow. To celebrate that I didn't die tonight at the hands of George Bush.
Call me a drama queen.

Encore
I took over 800 shots in SA, that includes the booth shots. I haven't taken any since I got back though. I haven't really been anywhere or seen anything exciting other than Elliott :-) The top one is just random icicles, then a dude outside the Alamo. He was posing for his friends so I gave him Ted. They were all PPA people. Then there's Lisa and I in the mirror downstairs at the Contessa. Lastly, random dude in a bar. We were walking by and I looked in and held up my camera to take a shot and he reciprocated. There were lots of photographers in the same area at once!

Hotel Menger and River Walk
We wandered through Hotel Menger on our stuck day. It was quite historic. The chef was kinda creepy and we longed for ghosts to come and scare him. The River Walk is kinda cheesy but really cool at the same time. Unfortunately it was too bloody cold and a lot of places shut down so we didn't get to spend a whole lotta time there. We certainly didn't eat outside!
