McCourt Monday

Started the day with a major act of cuteness.
Elliott was in the kitchen sink drinking water from a wine glass.
This evening I went to hear Frank McCourt speak downtown and
roamed the streets a little with my camera.
Cheers Frank.
...and cheers to Lynn and Marguerite who passed on the ticket... Posted by Picasa

Fantastic news...

Gee, I have a few of these things laying around...

I stole this right from Yahoo news who got it from AP:
BOGOR, Indonesia - A renowned black magic practitioner performed a voodoo ritual Thursday to jinx President George W. Bush and his entourage while he was on a brief visit to Indonesia.
Ki Gendeng Pamungkas slit the throat of a goat, a small snake and stabbed a black crow in the chest, stirred their blood with spice and broccoli before drank the "potion" and smeared some on his face.
"I don't hate Americans, but I don't like Bush," said Pamungkas, who believed the ritual would succeed as, "the devil is with me today."
He said the jinx would send spirits to possess
Secret Service personnel guarding Bush and put them in a trance, leading them into falsely thinking the president was under attack, thus eventually causing chaos in Bogor Presidential Palace, where the American leader was scheduled to meet President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Monday. Posted by Picasa

I can't forget you...

Would you rather be fish?

It has rained and rained and rained and rained this week.
My apologies to the guy that sat next to me on the plane from NY.
He said the forecast said rain all week and I told him he wouldn't notice.
The rain is usually so fine you can walk down the street and not even notice.
It's just a light mist! I swear. He has been cursing me all week I am sure. Posted by Picasa

Jumping for Joy

The black cloud has lifted....

As Chico would say, " I haven't been this happy
since my third grade picnic."
Having never been to third grade since I grew up in
England, I can now finally relate. Posted by Picasa
