Big fat Oregon seagulls

After living in Florida for most of my life I am always AMAZED by the size of the seagulls in Oregon. They are huge. These brown ones you don't see much in Florida but there are also big fat ones that look like the typical Florida seagulls. I sound like a real ornithologist I know!

Murals are one of the many joys of Portland. With the Lensbaby they are even better IMHO. Though isn't everything better with a Lensbaby? I swear I wasn't paid to say that. That's just the way it is. My parents arrived today- so I am actually going to get out and about and do some shooting. After being sick last week I am ready to get out and get some fresh (almost Fall) air. I actually saw people wearing coats yesterday. A premonition of things to come.

Getting ready

My parents are coming on Tuesday which is very exciting and I busted my ass getting the house ready today. I was sickly all week- sicker than I have been in years. Elliott jumped into a full washing machine today. He didn't like it too much and shot out of it like a rocket. Yesterday he crashed into the bathroom cabinet that I had just painted purple. He still has some purple on his ear. It's kinda cute.

The band at Nine Fine Irishmen in NYNY, Vegas are really great. We were sat right in front. The dancer was practically on our table.

We went to the Irish joint at NYNY in Vegas. I have been there before for a beer and I read a review that raved on the food so we went to eat. It was excellent. Probably the best crab cake (Irish or other) that I have ever had. They had live music and a dancing girl.
