I can fly...
I am flying the coop again. New York city bound.
Elliott will no doubt be in some kind of kitten orbit while I am gone.
Hopefully the curtains will still be up when I get back!

Go Ted Go Ted GO TED Kulongoski
Put your money where your mouth is.
I sent Ted a whole $50 yesterday.
Not much in a whole campaign, I know, just a drop in the proverbial bucket.
I normally volunteer a zillion hours but the trade shows are piling up here.
So I will cheer and I will remind people to send in their ballots.
If they are voting for him.
Throw them in the trash if they are not.
I am lucky to live a pretty much Republican free life here in Portland.
Good thing...
Oregonians vote in the mail.
None of that Diebold bullshit here.

I spy with my little eye...
Scrod help us...
Oregon needs Ted Kulongoski to win re-election.
I need Oregon to have Ted Kulongoski for Governor.
Where will I go if he loses?
Shit I can't handle another Republican in my life.
Jeb and George and the rest of the stinkin' lot of them have done me in.
Come on folks, get your ballots in.
Democrats into Salem.
Republicans in the trash.
Simple as that

While we are on the subject...
These were taken back in March. No leaves on the trees.
I am lucky, I have seen them almost every time I go out there.
They are Roosevelt elk. In the heat of the summer they spend a lot of time in the mountains but you can see them here in Spring and Fall. There is a program in place to feed them in the winter. I am going to volunteer this winter.

I'm Rick James, Bitch
This is cracking me up all over again. I don't watch tv ever at all.
While in Germany I got turned onto a few clips from the Dave Chapelle show and I can't stop laughing...

Gay congressman's spouse denied benefits
By STEVE LeBLANC, Associated Press Writer Tue Oct 17, 9:49 PM ET
BOSTON - Former Rep. Gerry Studds, the first openly gay member of Congress, was married to another man in Massachusetts at the time of his death, but the federal government will not pay death benefits to his spouse.
Studds married Dean Hara in 2004 after gay marriage was legalized in Massachusetts. But Hara will not be eligible to receive any portion of Studds' estimated $114,337 annual pension because the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act bars the federal government from recognizing Studds' marriage.
